Modern Warfare 2...
After initial plans to not purchase this title (due to the inflated RRP) I have had a bit of a U-turn. The Multiplayer vids that have surfaced on Youtube look stupidly good.Damn you Activision.

I dunno why I am looking forward to it so much either.
I though CoD2 was okay...
I never even played CoD3...
CoD4 was great on Vet til I got to the Ferris wheel bit. Online for me went like this :
*spawn*
*run 4 steps*
*gunned down from behind*
*respawn*
*run 2 steps*
*Sniped*
*re-respawn*
*knifed*
*re-re-respawn*
*7 steps (getting somewhere
)*
*blown to shit by random grenade*
*turn off 360 and do something less stressful like bomb diffusing*

This may just have been me and a severe lack of skill on my behalf (very likely).
Or the fact that I never even contemplated the online side of things on it for nearly 2 months, thus most of the "hardcore" CoD4 players had reached Rank 1trillion and on their 87th Prestige, they knew the maps like the back of their dicks and had amassed an arsenal of perks and weapons that the US Military would be proud of...
When it comes to gaming, I have always preferred RPG's personally.
I like the thought of starting as a pube who struggles to kill an ant, progressing at my own pace until I eventually muster the power of a God and own the entire game!!
Online shooters, like CoD/Gears/Killzone 2, are great in their own respects.
I never really got into the whole "playing 1 game constantly online til I rock" vibe.
I enjoyed Gears of War for a bit, Unreal Tournament 3 briefly and had most fun/time on Killzone 2.
Killzone 2 is a great game, I really should get back to playing it more.
The problem is, that I seem to have amassed a HUGE collection of games for my PS3/360 that I just simply haven't got enough time to play!

An online band of friends that have been gaming together for quite a while now.
You can find us here if anyone is interested, made up of mainly 360 gamers. Ages vary from 17 to early 40's I think, we play mainly for fun too, try to run weekly events on different games etc...
Anyways, I have kinda lost my train of thought now...
